Sustainable Tip: Sugar Sheet Paper

We've spoken about sustainability on all of our social platforms and throughout our website: it's something that we're always working on. From this post onward, we're going to be sharing a sustainable insight or tip every month. By doing this, we hope to provide some useful information to readers, as well as share updates on our progress with ongoing sustainability initiatives.

The biggest stationery change we've made, regarding sustainability, has been with that paper we use in our offices. It's been over two years since we made the switch to Sugar SheetTM paper, created by Social Print and supplied by our friends at Mills Office Supplies. This paper is made from 100% sugar cane residue fibre but still "looks, performs, recycles, and costs the same as traditional tree-fibre papers." Not only is the paper made completely without trees, but it is also recyclable itself.

In two years, we've saved 50 trees and 1460kg in greenhouse gas emissions purely by using this paper. This simple switch has allowed us to reduce our impact on the forestry industry significantly without any noticeable change in our offices.
